As of today, Jess has been moved from ICU to the Neuro floor. He is doing well and is on his way to recovery. Jess's left arm was damaged during the accident and with time the doctors said he would have full use of his arm. Jess severed his spinal cord at the T-11 level and is paralyzed from the waist down. Jess is determined that with research, support and faith, he will maximize his mobility. For right now, everyone is taking things one day at a time and reminding ourselves how lucky we are that he is here with us and is the same old Jess. He is cracking jokes and taking this entire situation in stride. His spirits are high and already one of the hospital's favorites patent's! Emliy and Briley are right there by his side and Emily is an inspiration to us all. They will be making a decision within the next few days whether to go to Denver or stay in Missoula for rehab. We will keep everyone updated. We can not thank the families, friends and community of Dillon enough, the amount of support and prayers has been unreal and makes us all really feel loved. We are asking that if anyone wants to send a message to Jess, go to the St. Patricks Hospital website and send an email to him. He is already asking to read them. We will keep everyone posted with new pictures and updates. The community of Dillon is in the process of planning a fundraiser for Jess, we will keep you posted!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRILEY!! One year old wow! Your Blog site is wonderful. What a great idea. It's great to see your smiling faces. We'll be checking the blog daily. Keep adding more pictures!! Jess keep up the great progress. We love you all and you are in our hearts and minds daily. Love jan and clint
The blog is beautiful, and it was great to see all the smiling faces, especially the one I didn't recognize because of the glasses. Jess, that brings out a whole different side of you I've never seen: Professor Alberi! Emily, your writing has what is called "voice," meaning that your personality comes right off the page, and there's no doubt who's behind the words. Voice is something that cannot be taught, cannot be learned; you either have it or you don't. You have it, so I know your blog is going to be special to read. (Jess, don't let that go to her head--you know how women are with compliments.) On a more serious note, we are praying for you daily, and you and your families are in our heart all day, every day. We'll be following your progress through the blog, so thanks for it--it's great. Love, Carolyn and Wayne
Happy Birthday to that beautiful little baby! Just want you to know I really love having this site to visit and see the progress. I am so thankful you are all part of my life. I am thinking of all of you daily. Thoughts, prayers, and many hugs are coming your way from me, everyday. Goodnight!

Please forgive me! I sent comments to you the other day, but this is my first blog, and I didn't send it right(yes, your dad and I are the same age!)
It is so great to see your progress, and as I said before, we are praying for you and your family. We put your name on the prayer list at church today, and I know they will pray also.
I'm sure Briley had a great birthhday, and that she is the apple of her folk's eye. Kids are such an inspiration to all of us.
Please know we are thinking of you all, and if there is anything we can do, don't hesitate to let us know.
